we were offerred Laminex diamond gloss benchtop (i have chosen QQ stone for kitchen bench) - this is for butler's pantry and laundry. but we were told the Doamond gloss ones have only squared edge available. may I ask, who has had this as a benchtop? and your opinion of it. any comments appreciated nh Re: who has had a Laminex Diamond gloss benchtop? 2Dec 06, 2008 8:21 pm Hi nh
We have diamond gloss in our new kitchen and ours has got the rounded edge. We haven,t moved into our house yet,so we don,t know how durable it is,but when we did our selections we got one of the sample pieces and used every sharp object that we could find to test it out and it was brilliant, not a scratch Cheers Mel Building on 9 acres Re: who has had a Laminex Diamond gloss benchtop? 3Dec 06, 2008 8:49 pm Hi, Melanie02
thanks for that, (we nearly chose Ambassadar ). the PD colour girl said that only available square edged , so i have chosen flint finish laminex (rolled edge) for pantry bench and laundry, but i think i can still change as i have not signed the contract yet. i would like a rounded edge gloos one though (it is the squared edge that stopped me ) nh Re: who has had a Laminex Diamond gloss benchtop? 4Dec 06, 2008 9:17 pm Hi nh
I,ve just had a look at our colour selection and our benchtop is called Laminex Ebony Marble diamondgloss finish and is double roll postform,we could have had square edge but really preferred the rolled. What colours have you selected? We,ve chosen formica Escarpment velvet for the bathrooms and laundry and we,re really happy with our choice Cheers Mel Building on 9 acres Re: who has had a Laminex Diamond gloss benchtop? 6Dec 07, 2008 12:02 pm We have the Diamond Gloss Toffee Mineralstone benchtops in our kitchen and we chose a 10/10 roll edging. This is basically rolled at the top and bottom like the postformed edging but with a small section flat at the front so that it looks slightly square edge (if that makes sense!) I dont know how to post photos but if you wanted some photos pm me and i can email you some Re: who has had a Laminex Diamond gloss benchtop? 7Dec 07, 2008 4:57 pm I haven't lived with the Diamond Gloss before, but as an Interior Designer I have no problems recommending it to clients.
I do warn them that I have seen a steel wire thing (to clean dishes) and it hasn't scratched it but you can scratch it with keys etc.... I try to get them to avoid the solid dark colours (as that would show all sorts of finger prints). But like all styles of laminates, it will wear over time. My mum & dad have the flint finish on their benchtop and it has worn where their chopping board sits. I've just up to you to be a little bit careful with it! In fact, I have actually selected the Formica Gloss (which is the same product as the Laminex Gloss - owned by same company) for my Bathroom & Ensuite (still under construction). That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I do enjoy watching that tik tok inspector from Victoria but he does go a little… 12 81884 Hi, planning on using the attached stone pieces in my bathroom. I want to remove stains and gloss seal. Can I get some advice on best way to remove stains and best… 0 6709 This link might answer your question. I had the same issue and it turned out to be the roller. https://www.sherwin-williams.com/painti ... %20coating. 4 18151 |
