so far am very happy now am crossing fingers that pics work .. should be one before pic and one pic of kitchen at present! cheers nutty32 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 3Nov 03, 2008 7:25 pm Nutty....that looks fantastic. You know I was wondering is that kitchen part of a set of units in Tuart hill. I noticed you are from Perth.
We did up a unit there quite a few years ago and the old kitchen was exactly the same and our reno looked similar as your reno........I wondered if it was a coincidence or if it really is the same set of units. Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 4Nov 03, 2008 7:29 pm I really like what you have done with the splashback! Just kidding.
This looks great. Floors look fab and is that a drop zone for keys and stuff on the left hand side? I'd love that. Everyone puts their bags on my food prep area the minute they walk in my home. Drives me nuts as 10 mins later they want a drink and food! Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 5Nov 03, 2008 7:31 pm thanks!!
ive just noticed the top cupboards look quite beige in the pic but they are the same designer white colour as the rest in real life.. no not in a unit .. in a very daggy house in scarborough Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 7Nov 03, 2008 7:34 pm Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 10Nov 03, 2008 7:45 pm thanks for flipping that around michelle
one more pic to show from the other side .. not a very good pic but you can see how to the right of the fridge cavity there is an existing walk in pantry that we wanted to keep (you can faintly see the louvred pantry door) - to the right of the pantry is another sliding door that goes thru to the hall.. this made the reno slightly complicated since we didnt want to knock thru the wall but also had to work with two entrances.. yes the floors came up great We had the kitchen and hallway done (tiles ripped up from hall) and now the house is all wooden floors. They did a lovely job! The "key drop" area will hold the microwave. thanks for looking nutty32 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 11Nov 03, 2008 8:07 pm Great job Nutty. I just had to say your old kitchen looks just like my Grandma's! Just swap the oven and the sink and I'm there....!!
The new kitchen looks lovely - big improvement. thanks everyone 13Nov 05, 2008 12:12 pm Thanks for your replies everyone! i will put another photo up when complete
We are trying to keep current renovations to a $ minimum but i can see how it all adds up pretty quickly. Sassy the actual kitchen was $7500 to be made (vinyl wrap doors and squareform benchtops). Add to that instal/ripout, new fridge, oven, sinks etc, plumbers, sparkies, tilers etc.. We used Proform in malaga. Our guy was great jellylegs - ive heard the grandma house bit before hehe.. i bet a lot of the rest of the house looks like your grandmas - including the purple bathroom! Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 14Nov 08, 2008 4:27 pm Nutty, your old kitchen is like the one in our rental.. It never grew on us
Your new one looks GREAT though. And far less like something vomitted up from the 70's....hehe Be sure to post once the splash back is all done Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 15Nov 08, 2008 7:49 pm Love it, the floor boards are sensational, when your splashback goes in it will complete your gorgeous kitchen. We now have a blog. http://allaboutthebuild.blogspot.com/ Re: kitchen reno nearly complete! hope the pics work 16Nov 10, 2008 8:11 am Your new kitchen looks great! A big improvement!
