I look like an idiot when over the time of 3 months I called the RACQ to come look at what was wrong with my car and each time the problem was the same, I LEFT THE AUTO GEAR STICK IN DRIVE Maleena Hardy Curiouser & Curiouser Vintage-Handmade-Interior & Colour Consultancy http://www.curiouserandcuriouser.com.au Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 14Nov 03, 2008 12:19 pm Hmm…well, the taps should be properly open/on, etc. Although I do find that when we use the mixer tap over the kitchen sink, the cold comes out normally, but the hot comes out at about half the strength. Could this be something?
Oh my god, really (re the Nobel website)? So Nobel sucks? That’s not good, dammit! I’m gonna find this website. I was going to do that a few days ago but then kept forgetting. Oh Maleena! I feel for you with your RACQ story! Lol. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 15Nov 12, 2008 12:46 pm SOOO FRUSTRATING!!
I put the dishwasher on at 6.45pm last night. Just on the rinse only cycle (not wash, as it always, ALWAYS gets stuck on that one and never works properly, but the rinse cycle works maybe 2/3 of the time). Several times I checked it and found it wasn’t moving on through its cycles as usual *sigh* so I had to move it along about 4 times throughout. At 10pm it stopped, and I went to open the door, and found the powder compartment had not opened. AAAAGH!!! A total waste of 3 hours and now we have no clean dishes! I couldn’t put it on overnight cause it would’ve possibly just been going ALL night, stuck on the same cycle, and who’s to say the powder would release then too!? BAH! Did they check to see if the discharge line was within specs for your dishwasher? It could be getting stuck in cycles because it's having trouble getting rid of the water if the line is too long. Just an idea on your problem. Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 17Nov 12, 2008 2:41 pm Hmm, that could be a thought, yeah.
I have no idea who installed it, as it was done probably when the apartment was built 12 years ago. *sigh* When we had the grout done, they disconnected it and then reconnected it and didn't mention anything strange about it then. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 18Nov 12, 2008 11:07 pm I think, by this stage, you should be looking at getting a new dishwasher. Your current one sounds like a royal pain.
Electrical places seem to have reasonable deals on them at the moment, and you can always check at Graysonline too. Don't waste more of your time that you need to on the one you have. Judie Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 19Nov 14, 2008 4:57 pm Yeah...it isn't the price of dishwashers themselves that puts me off...it's the cost of installation. *gulp* I've heard it can be $1,000 or more!!
Also, what if a new one did the same thing? What if my apartment just sucks for dishwashers? (And I mean, all the apartments in the 15 apartment complex here have the same dishwasher...or they were built with that brand anyway. Other people may have replaced them earlier, I'm not sure) I'd be worried about spending that much money for no big improvement. I'm also annoyed cause it was such a plus for me to finally have a dishwasher and to not have to buy a new one and get it installed, when I bought my apartment. it was great cause it already came with one. Grr. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: I don't get my dishwasher!!! 20Nov 14, 2008 6:27 pm If you already have a dishwasher in place and a new one can fit in the same cavity (quite likely) then there really isn't anything to swapping one machine for the other.
There has been a post here recently about replacing one machine with another - if the work is a bit beyond you it shouldn't take a local handy-type-for-hire more than an hour. New machine would be my suggestion too. Cheers, Earl I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions.
