Hi Kitchen Gurus
We have just had our Caesarstone benchtop installed in our ensuite. It's 2750 long and 500mm deep, with a 40mm edge.
At about the 2m mark there is a visible join. We ensured we were under the 3m mark as I know the slabs are 3060mm long by 1440mm wide, so I had assumed it would be seamless. I have told the builder this is not appropriate, as although it would have been more work for the supplier/installer to make the join, it would have been cheaper to do the join as potentially "offcuts" could have been used.
Am I being resonable?
Did I assume incorrectly?
Are there any installation standards provided by Caesarstone for their product?
I also asked the builder to ensure both my kitchen benchtops will not have joins in them as well (2750x700 and 2650x1100)) as they are currently being made.
