I'm a couple of months earlier than I'd like, but with the way our economy is going... is it better to order now? Or sit and wait? How much will prices be affected? Jo Not sure how the white goods industry works but in the photographics, they order every 6 months so what they have instock now is priced for when the aussie dollar was good! Meaning prices will go up when their next order arrives. If white goods is similar then possibly best to order now. You could see if you can order now with a later delivery date. Ask them how long you can delay delivery for without incurring a charge, I know freedom it's like max 3 months delay then they charge you storage fee. Re: Imported appliances..... price movement? 3Oct 29, 2008 11:53 am We ordered and paid a deposit for all our new appliances (about 6 months ago, and are still about 2 months away from needing them) but the other benefit of ordering now and getting a the price lock, is that if a model is superseeded (sp?) you should be offered the new one... this happened to us with our AEG ovens.. there are now new versions (better glass on the doors) and we don't need to pay the difference.
