Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Rotten timber next to kitchen sink 2Apr 11, 2022 6:28 pm I have a similar problem but the water has got behind the tiles ,and I have the same tap and sink! , you don’t appear to have any sealant between timber & benchtop which will prevent the water getting in - to fix you probably need to workout what other damage has occurred to the timber behind it - to fix - it all comes down to $$ & effort Maybe apply a waterproof sealant to timber and tile it or you can fully investigate it, remove timber see what else needs repairing and fix properly.
