If you need adjustment it will go up a bit but you shouldn't need much. What is important is a bit of space for the fridge to be able the vent off the hot air from behind. Some manufacturers specify a height above their fridges in the manuals. A fridge in too tight a space will work inefficiently and cost you more to run.
