Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 19, 2021 12:59 pm We need help in getting ideas for the splashback tiles. The kitchen island and the tops are Silestone classic calacatta. The island is the feature. The splashback needs to be selected from Beaumont tiles but the recommendation of Bora Carrara (1227453) from them seems like a different vein and mismatches with Classic Calacatta. Any suggestions? The house has the modern/contemporary style overall. Re: Splashback for Classic calacatta 2Nov 19, 2021 2:54 pm Have to agree about the mismatch and while I know screens can show different colours, one looks to have a more white background whereas the other is more creamy, then the veining is different as well, so not what I would choose or want. Good luck ! Re: Splashback for Classic calacatta 4Nov 24, 2021 10:56 am Thanks arcadelt. they cerainly as good options. Silestone for the splashback was the ideal but it is above our budget, We were advised that glass would be hard to maintain with the kids around and my messy cooking. Finally we decided having a neutral white tile with a textured pattern for the splashback. I'd be surprised if a textured tile was easier to "maintain" than a glass splash back, but it sounds like a nice choice |
