Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 26, 2021 10:09 pm Hi We are looking at getting a new gas cooktop (like to use a wok so want to keep to gas). We have a glass splashback which I am sure at the time we renovated it had whatever it needs behind that in terms of combustability. It seems now (17 years later) the regulations have changed and I am not sure if a new one will be compliant. We have 14cm from the edge of the back ring and 3cm from the back of the cooktop footprint. Is this standard- I'm getting very confused by it all and how do I prove what was put behind the splashback? Thanks Donna Re: Replacing gas stove- compliance with splashback 2May 26, 2021 10:42 pm donnam Hi We are looking at getting a new gas cooktop (like to use a wok so want to keep to gas).
