I have had tiles behind before. Re: glass slashbacks info needed 2Oct 11, 2008 6:40 am Our old builder was $1920 for the glass splash back, (that's the plain glass)
They said that the range hood had to be installed and then taken out and re-installed after the glass went in. That price was for the glass to be under the rangehood, it was more expensive if you wanted it above the range hood. I also got a price from a splashback place near where I work and they said it would be $600 for the full one below and above the range hood and installed. I thought that it was really cheap so we were going to put it in after handover, but we are not building with them now and it is standard with our new builder. I took a look at your blog its great and I love that kitchen would you mind telling me the colours and the wall colour as I have been read a another forum about I hate my kitchen and the problem was the wall colour with the white cupboard and I am worried I am going to stuff it up to colour is not my thing and you sound like you have it altogether and that display is great all the displays around me are going for dark and light together but I like yours hope you don't mind we are not building with a project builder and I have no reference to colurs the displays here wont tell you the colours they use. Re: glass slashbacks info needed 4Oct 12, 2008 3:33 pm Hi lostlozza, If you can wait until tomorrow I will have all the colour names. I'll get some paint tomorow it's even the right brand the builder uses I have rang a few glass places the price does vary I think I will go with the glass splashback It gives a modern look and looks so fresh In your blog has the display home got brown tones on the feature wall and does that continue that on the splashback ? I was thinking of a grey / stainless colour for the splashback what do you think or may be brown would be better we are thinking of timber flooring Thanks agian I am now looking forward to Monday instead of thinking I am going to hate this. Re: glass slashbacks info needed 10Oct 15, 2008 6:54 am In the photo it does look like a brown tone but the true colour has a grey tone and the same with the splashback.
I will try and find out the colour for you that might help. I think I also have a better photo that shows the grayer tone I will have a look and post if I do.
