I don't purchase any brand name stuff to clean my kitchen - vinegar, bicarb, cloudy ammonia, dish soap (yes - I'm cheap!) After 4 years - we're in! Re: BENCHTOP TESTING ON BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS 23Oct 21, 2008 12:31 pm I 'tested' a sample piece of Quantum Quartz white one. Left a strong paste of tumeric and water on it overnight.
Most of it wiped off with water and cloth the next morning. Remnants seemed to come off okay with Spray and Wipe (or similar) Left some dark soy sauce on it also, that came off more easily. Hopefully in the real world we'll wipe off stains a bit quicker! Re: BENCHTOP TESTING ON BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS 24Oct 21, 2008 12:48 pm We have dark vinyl wrap doors and benchtop in one of our bathrooms that had some sort of bleaching marks from a glue or something that one of the tradies had on his hands.
All came off with some paint thinner or acetone, no damage to doors or benchtop. Laminate options have come a long way since the 1970's ... if you use a chopping board should be no problems. Personally, we don't have any regrets about spending our limited house budget improving environmental performance instead of on expensive benchtops! I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 20207 brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 6116 Ask for references and speak to them.
