I found this at the kitchen guys display the other day and I'm interested... the idea of a 3mX1m single ceramic tile (so no grout) as a splashback (it can be cut down like a normal tile apparently) is very attractive (and the price is a lot less than glass or high gloss fire retardant laminates)...
Anyone else considering it? Thoughts?

Our kitchen guy quoted it $1-2k a sheet depending on which one you choose. It's a little pricey (not as pricey as the Laminex fire proof splash backs though!) so we're thinking it through. May need "qualified" tradies, and needs a lot of care in handling.  OK when laid. Price is between $300-$350 sq m, depends on thickness, ( 3-7 mm ), style and colour.
