Re: Show me your kitchen... 763Jul 04, 2010 7:40 pm Speaking of kitchens wondering if anyone perhaps knows or could recommend a reliable company in Melbourne who would be able to change some of my kitchen cupboard doors to the perspex cupboards, hopefully for a reasonable price My builder unfortunately would not allow us to choose different overhead cupboard colours, and my kitchen now looks very dull and bland in all the one colour This thread has really inspired me, and given me the final push to have them changed Dear J.K. After handover, on the right of the pic in that niche, we're adding shelf unit in the same laminex at the top, cupboards at the bottom and in the middle tiles in the same mosaics and we're hanging our pots and what not there. Pic of the bargain stools I got off ebay as well! http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/ab286/aklet-laliyr/House/GetAttachment.jpg http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/ab286/aklet-laliyr/House/BqpU86gCGkKGrHqMOKkUEul0-8iBLwYQH3n.jpg I just wanted to put this photo up again because I love those mosaics! They would probably be the only thing that would have changed my mind about my Vivid White splashback-because with all those colours I would never get bored and would be able to accesserise anyway I wanted! They can supply them but you'll need to organise someone to fit them if you can't do it yourself. You can order hwta you need and they'll make them up. We're doing same after handover because the builder charges too much for these. We'll do it after handover for a third of the cost! Thank you Just googled for the address http://www.mitchellplastics.com.au/ Unfortunately, our builder wouldnt give us the option of having even two seperate colours, so our kitchen is very bland, and rather than change all the cupboards, we'll go with the cheaper option of using the perspex for the overheads. We're going with the 19mm Pearl I think. Getting the builder to install standard laminex doors in OH cupboards and we'll replace later with Alifrost. We are loving the new look and it even feels bigger! bcmonty, I really like the kitchen! What was your inspiration to stick to light colours in the kitchen? We have done a similar thing, we have gone white walls throughout with ivory wall tiles and light coloured benchtop and cupboards. When people come over do they say 'its so white'? We get it all the time and I can't stand it!! But I do really like it... I think it looks great!!
