I was questioning whether the cup just prises off (otherwise any screw is well hidden). Is it possible for you to post a photo? This would greatly help our ability to assess the chance of how to fit a replacement hinge. If worst comes to worst you should be able to get a cabinetmaker to drill a new cup hole (and locating holes) to one side of the original hole and get a new hinge fitted - the mounting plate just gets screwed onto the gable.
