Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 24, 2009 8:50 pm Hi I am wondering if anyone who has the c/s colour 'whisper' or 'white whisper' in their kitchen could possibly tell me what number it is? The c/s website does not have the colour listed under a name but i saw it in the simonds gallery and the c/s website has a couple of new white colours but they are only listed as numbers... if anyone knows... I visited the showroom in Melbourne last week and they had it on display, really nice colour. Another new colour that was interesting was the pure white 1141 which will be available from next month. You could always call the showroom and get them to send you a sample, I picked out 6 that im interested in and just now need to decide Re: Does anyone have the c/s colour whisper in their kitchen ? 3May 24, 2009 9:51 pm Katie, how much of a difference are these new whites to the old Snow benchtop? Thanks Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Does anyone have the c/s colour whisper in their kitchen ? 4May 24, 2009 10:12 pm The pure white from a distance wasn't too much different to snow but close up it was quite noticeable. The pure white is really just that, no flecks to speak of and is just white. One thing to note with it is that is part of their premium range which can alter the price with your kitchen designer. Also another new white is the organic white 4600. It is not as uniform as the snow, the flecks are very similar but it has larger areas of grey in it so looks slightly greyier. Sorry its really hard to explain I actually really like the organic white and am leaning towards it for our benchtop. Re: Does anyone have the c/s colour whisper in their kitchen ? 5May 24, 2009 10:30 pm Thanks Katie for the info! Dont worry, I understood what you meant with regards to the organic white. We chose Snow for our benchtop, I think we will stick with that choice as I dont think I would want a benchtop that was just pure white. I like the fact that snow has tiny specks of grey in it, just breaks up that stark whiteness. They display large pieces on CS and differences in colour are easier to distinguish. As an example, on the website Nougat and Ice Snow appear very similar...infact, Ice Snow - despite the name - is much 'greyer' and Nougat - despite the larger flecks of grey throughout - has a much whiter base to it. it is very very noticeable when you can see the 2 colours next to one another. Sure would be the same for the others too. Re: Does anyone have the c/s colour whisper in their kitchen ? 7May 25, 2009 10:31 am Thanks for that. I have been to the simonds gallery which is where i saw the colour whisper. When i looked at the c/s website later on i couldnt find whisper, just some new colours with serial numbers. I have noticed that the tiny samples they had at the simonds gallery look really different when you see them on a whole benchtop. I spent all day yesterday looking at display homes for the purpose of getting a better idea of the colours used on a larger scale. Also on the c/s website the colour of them in the pictures give you a better idea than the tiny samples they had at the gallery. Well a better idea keeping in mind looking at it on a monitor will look a bit different.. also that any natural product will be slightly different from batch to batch.. but anyway that helps me alot!! I dont really mind if it has some grey going through it, we were originally going to get oyster! Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping!
