Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 12, 2014 11:47 am We are getting a new kitchen installed into our home and can't really decide on the splashback. We are wanting tiles. But going to various places we've been told a MASSIVE range of different things. Go big tiles, go small, go light, go dark. We don't want a super modern kitchen and I think we've agreed that a lighter tile is the way to go but I'm still so confused. If anyone had any advise that would be amazing. Here's our kitchen colours: Wall colour: Sand Diamond Quarter Benchtop: Caesarstone Oyster Cupboards: Alabaster We did see a tile that was a similar colour the the cupboards but with a very faint grey marble effect in it that we liked but we're not sure if that will look any good or be too much. Re: Splashback Suggestions? 3Feb 12, 2014 1:26 pm We have a tile splashback, have a look here. It's white tile, picture number 5: http://www.firstnationalepping.com.au/i ... I think it's a little more elegant than the pure subway look in that the tiles we have a satin rather than glossy. I think that pattern will withstand the test time rather than the fads that come and go. Greg Re: Splashback Suggestions? 6Feb 12, 2014 5:11 pm I would go for a lighter colour like you suggested similar to Alabaster and a bit of marble effect will be fine. Our cupboards are Alabaster too and our benchtop is the same pattern as yours but in a light colour (Cearstone Butternut). Def not dark.
