Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jun 27, 2018 3:37 pm Hi there! We have just added a timber fence to our house (pics below). We are second owners so not sure of the colours of the house but it was built in 2000 so likely to be faded primrose/classic cream with the matching red roof and driveway from that era. The Bunnings paint guy believes the guttering is faded Ironstone but the more faded trims that have gone green makes me think its Woodland Grey but thats an uneducated guess. Needing advice or ideas on what colour to paint the fence please? First thought was to try to match the guttering but not keen on the blueish and greenish tones and would prefer a neutral that doesn't throw much colour but has more black in it, e.g. a grey, neutral beige or charcoal. Not keen on black or white as it would make the fence stand out too much. Its the only fenced house on the street. I'm hoping with the right colour it will modernise the house but still work with it, doesn't have to be matchy. Another option is to make it match and then repaint the guttering and trims in a newer colour but didn't even know what colour to begin with, e.g. black, dark grey, light grey shades. Suggestions? I prefer warm greys, internals were repainted Taubmans Love Note and Dulux Tranquil Retreat. Previous house was rendered and painted in Dulux Puppy and Dulux Dune but that was in 2010. The photo with the paint samples on the fence, colours from left to right is Dune, Monument, Namadji. If no new suggestions then what is the best of these 3? Thinking maybe it needs to be darker than the Dune. Thanks! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Colour advice please!
