Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Nov 16, 2016 6:48 pm Hi guys New house and about to do the front yard and also want to paint the timber fence Not doing a decking for the front just timber borders around garden beds and rocks I originally wanted to stain it a merbau colour with a oil based exterior stain How does maintenence go with the stain? Would paint last longer in the sun and looks just as good ? Exterior paint of course Ill be renting it out so would like to keep maintenance to a minimum if I chose a paint colour for my fence in my backyard, what colour you guys think would look nice with my colour bricks and concrete you see in my attached photos? If renting just imagine that your fence will get touched, balls kicked on it, etc... a stain will hide all that. Merbau sounds like a great colour and should match your brickwork, as would a warm brown or honey style. Stain should last about 10 years before it needs refreshing if you intend on keeping it looking new and it shouldn't crack and peel which is a big plus for low maintenance. there should be ss cable so you can pull up bore pump for service 1 3160 DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Follow up question - any ideas on how to set up a portable air conditioner through this kind of window? 1 6238 |
