Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jun 13, 2015 8:03 pm I am looking at painting an oldish house that I am renovating. I like greys. I have a granny flat out the back which already has a woodland grey roof which looks ok. For the main house in the attached pic I was thinking of painting it these colours. Main walls: Dulux Colorbond Dune Roof , guttering and Garage door: Dulux Colorbond Woodland grey Timber decking and handrails: Any suggestions would be appreciated, I was thinking also woodland grey, what do you think? or maybe decking woodland grey and handrails white? They don't have all the manufacturers but they do have the colorbond colours and dulux. Good luck Re: Exterior paint - Does Dulux woodland grey and Dune work 5Jun 15, 2015 10:03 pm Inspiration paint is just Dulux retail outlet. The same colours are available at bunnings and the profit margin is much less. You seem to be choosing only colorbond colors. You are painting, so you can have absolutely any colour in the rainbow. Woodland grey actually has a bit of green in it u should notice on your granny flat. Have a look in the dulux traditional and dulux exterior colour chart on the dulux colour wall at bunnings! Also, my advice is to not go looking at different brands colour charts, theres no point, it just confuses you and adds unnecessary complication to the selection process. Any brand of paint can have any brands colours tinted, as all manufacturers have formulas for all competitors colour names. There is a page of just greys in the Dulux exteriors colour chart which i think you would like. Re: Exterior paint - Does Dulux woodland grey and Dune work 7Jun 15, 2015 10:24 pm Thanks for the replies, I think I will pay a colour consultant. I think its because there are so many colours and its probably a small price to pay to ensure I don't paint something that looks totally wrong Re: Exterior paint - Does Dulux woodland grey and Dune work 8Jun 16, 2015 8:52 am I reckon Woodland Grey & Dune work great together - but then I have to say that as we've just used them in our build! We have a Woodland Grey roof with Dune garage door & Dune cladding and we've had nothing but positive comments when people come to visit. Good luck. Re: Exterior paint - Does Dulux woodland grey and Dune work 9Jun 29, 2015 10:17 pm We are building our house and have chosen those colours. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 14070 Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again.
