Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Apr 06, 2015 7:46 pm Hi everyone, I'd love some advice on which colour to paint the exterior of our home (see image). It is based on the Gold Coast, QLD and is a high-set style home with corrogated cladding upstairs and render downstairs. We are looking at RAKU (DULUX) but are worried it could be too dark. Alternatively, the lighter shade in the same tone of MALAY GREY (DULUX). We then were thinking a white to paint the window/door trims. Not sure which white yet as haven't paid too much attention to those. Not sure about the fence - I guess do it the same colour as the house exterior. Would love some advice!! Then look at them at all different times of day. The available light depends on the aspect of your house eg N,S,E or W facing will change the look as will overcast days. Colours "bleach out" in strong sunlight which means you might need to go darker. This way you can guarantee how the paint will look. Also have a look at Foxdale, Lexicon, Flooded gum, Silkwort, or even Milton moon. Here's a link to the foxdale (Taubmans) I found. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/456271005969248366/ I suggest these lighter colours because it would be better with the corrugation, as the lines will throw shadow at certain times of day and look darker overall. But if your house faces due north it would be fine.... Dulux vivid white window frames or similar very white paint would look great as a trim! Hope this helps Hi all, I've received the unwelcome news that our certifier (BCA Certifiers) has merged into the McKenzie Group. A quick Google revealed McKenzie is the mob that… 0 4213 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls.
