I bought a timber veneer coffee table. It is not the colour I was after, but I was struggling to find the style I wanted in the right size for less than $1200.
I got this for under $400... so now I am going to try & stain it.
I basically want it black. I don't care if some of the chocolate shows through here & there, but I need it blacker than it is.
I was going to use this product, http://www.feastwatson.com.au/consumer/ ... tails/1522 in "Black Japan" and as per there instructions just sand it back a tiny bit.
Any advice? I know I can't sand it back too far or I will hit the substrate. Given the table is already pretty matt, will just a really light sand do?
