I'm at the painting stage of my new home, and was thinking of painting the interiors of wardrobes and similar to plain old white, versus the different colour (Hogs Bristle) that I'll be doing the interior walls with.
Seems a bit odd in some respects, but since the wardrobes are normal closed and not visible normally, it shouldn't be too much of an issue, and I thought with the insides being white, it would make it easier to find clothes and other items against the lightness of the white background. Even though you wouldn't call Hogs Bristle a dark colour, it is darker than plain white.
I took a look at some display homes at Yarrabilba (most display homes were already closed for Christmas !)yesterday to see how they did it, but the ones that I saw had 'white' walls throughout, so couldn't really see a valid example of what I wanted to see.
Seeing since most wardrobe shelving and draws are white in the first place (unless you do something special), then it appears it might be a good choice to paint the insides white, instead of the wall colour.
So what's the general consensus here? paint them white inside, or paint them the same colour as your internal walls ?

I don't think I've ever noticed... but I would prefer to paint the inside of built-in-robes plain white now that I think about it, if the internal wall colour isn't very close to white.

Yeah, I was thinking how does everyone do things, so thought I'd make a post and ask.
Hog Bristle for all the rooms, except for Laundry and toilet which will be white, as the bathroom/ensuites are floor to ceiling tiled. Now the wardrobes will be white inside after your post and PM's received, which really confirmed what I was thinking.
