Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Sep 02, 2014 10:47 pm Hi All, We are building a new home and very close to handover. Just found out that the main entry door has a camber. The door is warped from the top about 25mm starting about half height. Being so closed to handover, we are confused about the paperwork that is required to ensure that the builder rectifies this (before or after handover). Should we delay handover until the door is rectified? Also, does this happen very often? We have paid $2000 for this door. Any tips? Bina Re: Corinthian Door with a camber 2Sep 03, 2014 6:13 am It looks to me the stop the door closes against is not nailed off and there's a bow in that. In your first pic it shows the door hanging in about 12mm when closed, is this margin consistent all the way to the bottom? If it is then the door is fine, its not finished yet. 920 was enough to get the furniture in. We live in a pretty safe area and it’s great to see people walking to the front door. We’re not too fussed about people… 4 1997 Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6509 |
