Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Sep 20, 2014 9:16 am Hi,
I have been reading the forum for a while, and wanted some advice for Rendering Colours for our house. The Rendering will start in the next few days, and I just can't make up my mind. See the photos below. We have a Terracotta roof, 'reddish' driveway, and dark burgundy tiles on the front porch, hence we are sticking with some red in the colour scheme, though need colours for the render, the gutters, window frames, and columns at the front (those will be bricked and rendered and turned into square columns). At the moment I was thinking either Kahlua Milk or Linseed (Dulux Colours) for the render, and perhaps Candle Bark for the Gutters and window frames. Speaking with the renderer he mentioned making the square columns and perhaps the face around the garage door a different colour, and I think its an opportunity to create a bit of a feature out of it, though not sure of colours. Let me know your thoughts for all items - render, gutters, window frames, columns, face around roller door, and the roller door itself There will be 5 exterior lights, the cylinder shaped ones with lights pointing up and down in a warm white. You could go manor red for the gutters to blend in with the roof. Or jasper with those two dulux colours to keep it in the same earthy tone. There isn't much area around the garage door so I would keep it the same render as the house. Re: Help with Render & Gutter colours to match Terracotta Ro 3Sep 21, 2014 7:03 pm Thanks for the feedback d@n. I think we are going to go with Manor Red for the gutters, Paperbark for the rendered walls, and hog bristle half for the window frames & garage door.
