Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jun 25, 2014 9:21 pm We are renovating our home and will be replacing the roof with Colorbond. Our house frontage is west facing with a hip roof, so the roof colour will be a dominate feature. Not too keen on the dark colorbond colours due to the higher solar absorption or very light colorbond due to glare. We like Windspray but are struggling with paint colours that suit this roof, blend with our existing sandstone front garden retaining wall and match our existing surfmist garage door. We initially thought natural tones would work and liked Porters Paints Old Stone Wall but have been advised that we would need a dark grey (like Basalt) or a light colour like Surfmist (which we like but will have far too much glare) because Windspray has blue undertones this would not work either. Would love some paint colour suggestions! Re: Colour Suggestions - render colours to match Windspray 2Jun 25, 2014 10:12 pm You say surfmist would be too glary for you, just wondering why you say that ? Is it because it is a light colour, or because your roof is very clearly seen from a distance driving up to your house ? It's not real important, I was just wondering.
