Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jan 27, 2014 2:28 pm We are beginning the journey of building a Mercer Q1 with Henley We have purchased an old and tired Californian bungalow in Camberwell and as much as we love the old dame, she is going to cost us almost as much to renovate to our needs, as building a new home. So, today after nearly 3 months of looking around we paid our initial deposit on the Mercer Q1 with Henley, and the journey begins. I have taken heart from the blogs and discussions on this site, and thought it only fair that I now contribute and share my experiences and continue to seek other members counsel. Not to say I haven't been scared to death with some things I have read, I think I have concluded that: "Great results happen with great planning and preparation, and that things wont always go to plan" Would love to hear from others that are building the Mercer and advice on council issues with the demolition of exisiting house, and time to allow?
