Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Aug 11, 2013 6:01 pm We have recently built a house, but have discovered that our color choices don't look as good as we suspected at the color selection meeting before the house was built. The red render above the front door seems too light a color when compared to the garage door. I'm not sure if the grey pillars work with the red render. Here is a pic of how the house currently looks: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The options we are considering are: A- Paint the red render a darker red to match the garage door. B - Paint the grey pillars a dark brown or dark red color to match the other reds. C - Get rid of the reds altogether and use two different shades of grey for the renders. Will this make the garage door look out of place? D - Leave things as they are and put more greys and reds in the garden. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve the look of this facade? Note - you may have to get land estate developer and / or council approval for changes???
