Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 May 10, 2013 9:20 am Hi all, Hoping to get some tips & advise off you with regards to interior wall colour.... My wife and I are in the closing stages of a renovation to our late 50's weatherboard. With regards to colours, my wife & I find ourselve gravitating to a grey shades. Interested in any recommendations for an interior greys. For reference, our flooring is polished Vic Ash hardwood and we will be painting the doors, windows, trims in white. We also like the idea of working with a pale green feature wall in the living room ( perhaps dulux 'field maple' and perhaps a blue feature wall in our boys bedrooms. Would it be too much to expect that a grey would compliment green, blue, AND hardwood floors?? I also read somewhere that traditionally, older homes should lean towards beige & natural tones and avoid greys. Would this be accurate? Sorry, probably too many questions now Very interetsed in your thoughs & experiences! Re: Interior wall colour - help needed please? 3May 10, 2013 6:18 pm Hi D@n, thanks for the reply. The colour scheme that we are leaning towards is white for poles, window frames, eaves, woodlands grey for roof, gutters & fascia boards, and a grey somewhere in between for weatherboards. Perhaps 'Timeless Grey' Re: Interior wall colour - help needed please? 5May 11, 2013 7:00 pm greggles Hi all, Hoping to get some tips & advise off you with regards to interior wall colour.... If leaning towards a grey, make sure it is a lightish grey so it will mix well with your other chosen feature colours. I had a fair amount of greys in my last house.... the house I have now is leaning towards deep greys and black. If you like it make it work for you.
