Wall colour to go with Jarrah Floors

Hi All

Need some advice please.

We are doing up mum's place after her having to go into a nursing home.

Now think choclate brown. Dark Dark Dark.

There is timber wall panelling everywhere which i have found out you can paint. Yeehar! Thank you Bunnings.

I am thinking some type of white with a tinge of brown? Dont want stark white, or throws yellows or greens.
Alot of you are going Hog Bristile. Does that throw yellow? We are thinking of white ventians. I have got to find a way to make the house brighter. Its a old 1930's bungalow.

Going to paint all the timber doors in gloss. Do you just get the same colour in gloss?

Any advice you can give would be awesome.

We have spent the weekend ripping out the bathroom back to stud walls. This is going to take us months lol

Hog Bristle is a yellowish sandstone type colour. I've found the link below very useful:

You can always ask about the color base at any paint store as well, if you see a paint not mentioned here...

we went a little darker. Our floors are more deep brown than jarrah (cork) but we have a lot of jarrah timber in our house as well. We have wattyl brand paints. the lighter colour we used through 1/2 of the house was flokati ( this is a light neutral in the wattyl range. we used it for minor bedrooms, main bathroom and laundry) and for a little more colour though not too dark in big rooms( including lounge, entire living area-kitchen living-games, main bedroom and ensuite which were both big rooms) we used igloo.
