Back again with more paint questions....... I have found out that the previous owners used dulux super enamel semi-gloss on the inside doors, architraves and skirtings and dulux super enamel high gloss on the pantry. Can i paint with a low sheen straight over the high gloss or do i have to sand it back?? Also, there are some walls that are suede effect. Do i just sand them back as well to paint them in a low sheen?? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Tania Re: Paint ideas 7Apr 22, 2008 10:36 am Michelle My first choice in paints are Dulux, its all I use! Never ask questions about the amount I order. My clients can relate better to the A4 colour swatch. To me, and I have been using Dulux paints for a very long time, the product has a really good finish. We all know the annoying…….cutin with the brush first, then roller the rest of the wall………the ONE thing I hate is seeing the brush mark, then the roller mark. I’ve found with Dulux……this doesn’t happen. (And I’m not saying every other paint brand does!!!!) I’ve just been very happy with the quality of Dulux! A very good thing to learn while painting is to never let anything on the fuzzy stuff, run down the handle of the brush!!! When I paint, no paint goes past midway of the metal frame of the brush! Anything more than that and you need lessons on how to load your brush with paint! So yes, sand your enamel paint work, wipe off with a slight damp cloth, then re paint. FULL GLOSS!!!!!
