Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jan 21, 2013 7:36 pm Hi, I've been reading this forum for a long time at it has been so great and helpful for everything I've been doing around the house. I was hoping to get some help with jazzing up the front of our house. While i'd love to render it one day, its just not a reality at the moment. The house was built in the 90's with the classic red brick and green accent combo which was very popular at that time. The roof looks grey, but it has a brown tinge to it. Here is a pic of the house: http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag1/mrs_t2/FrontHouse_zps1aca860e.jpg I'll be painting the gutters, and pretty much everything that is green. Any suggestions for a colour scheme that would work and any other ideas to make it have more street appeal? Thanks so much! Re: Exterior colours - help needed 2Jan 22, 2013 8:43 am Other than painting out the green, there's not much more you can do with it. Maybe ditch the security door and put in a more modern looking front door. New landscaping goes a long way ie. better grass and plants. Maybe new aggregate driveway. Re: Exterior colours - help needed 3Jan 29, 2013 1:58 pm Thanks d@n! I like the idea of ditching the security door, and getting a nice modern door. I was also thinking of removing some of the grass and driveway and putting in a pathway to the street. Any suggestions for colours would be great! Re: Exterior colours - help needed 4Jan 30, 2013 9:00 pm I'd remove the finials on the roof top and the green bits that make the house (somewhat) federation first. Feed the lawn, that will make the grass grow, and some decorative bits on the porch. Now, would you like a colour after all that?
