Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Aug 17, 2012 8:54 pm We are getting ready to paint the inside of our whole house, and looking for a good neutral colour that could be used throughout (with perhaps a few feature colours here and there) on the walls, and a good ceiling colour to go with. We have a really large open plan living/dining/kitchen area that faces north, so nice and light. Kitchen is vinyl wrap alabaster (which is off white) with white/cream speckle type acrylic benchtop. Floors are wood look dark tiles, and carpet is also a dark brown (with cream sort of fleck), hence the reason want something fairly neutral on the walls to lighten it up. Have been leaning towards Dulux White Duck 1/4 or Grand piano 1/4. A couple of other suggestions have been Sandy Day 1/2 or Haymes Oak Buff. Trying to avoid something that is too "creamy" or has a green or pink undertone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Re: Suggestions for good neutral paint colour in living area 3Aug 18, 2012 11:53 am I have Dulux Winnow in my house, and find it very neutral. It has a brown base, but looks like a dirty white. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 3622 |
