Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Feb 21, 2008 10:08 am Does anyone know whether leaving the interior painting of a new house till after handove would be a disaster? This is the first time I've built so I'm not very sure of things.
My painter came off a ladder & broke his arm the other week & the interior painting is due to start next week. The builder is now pressuring me to let their painter do it, but I'm not impressed with the paint jobs in their other houses. Quotes I've got from other painters are WAY higher than the guy I was going to use, but still around what the builder will charge me for his lower grade job. Should I just bite the bullet & pay another more expensive good painter or wait until handover & get my original guy in when his arm is better? Any help greatly appreciated as I think I need to give definite answers today Toon Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built.
