Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Dec 27, 2011 9:23 am Good Morning, we are starting to renovate a traditional double story home. There are beautiful large skirting boards and cornices downstairs with high ceilings and smaller but feature skirtings upstairs. We have been recommended to paint the skirting and cornices Dulux Hog Bristle full strength and 1/4 strength on the ceilings and walls. I am finding it hard to picture the skirtings darker than the walls. Anyone have any pictures or comments? Thanks Re: Traditional Colour Scheme 2Dec 27, 2011 10:24 am l don't have any pic of my old house where l had darker skirts etc looked very imo.l had a large house so it didn't shrink the rooms. traditional gable roof facade - Have you did the dark and light gray color combination in facade with gray stone in facade… 0 1827 I'm renovating - building a small extension at the back of the late Edwardian house.
