with a two step feature ceiling (in a passage).....
should it all be painted the same colour?
or should the vertical bits be wall colour and the horizontal bits ceiling colour?

Some paint them, some don’t……when I do them, I do the ceiling part only in a feature colour, all the rest is painted the ceiling colour throughout the house. BUT, this depends on the colour chosen or the look you want. Have fun!
