Hi Everyone,
Firstly, I just want to say how much I love these forums - everyone is so helpful
My husband and I have 6 weekends to paint our 2 storey house
Our walls are currently warmish green tones which were popular a few years back, but look really old and dated now, so we're going for more neutral tones. The trim is currently stained timber which we are keen to paint over because it makes the house look quite dark (we are yet to test whether the trim is oil or water based).
I'm aiming for Hog Bristle walls and Antique White USA Trim. I love the warmth of Hog Bristle Full but don't want the house to look too dark (we have lots of floor to ceiling colonial style windows so plenty of light).
We are wondering whether it would be worth our while to purchase a spraygun to help us undercoat and apply the first coat quickly, then roll the second coat for a nice finish....?
Also, if we decide that Hog Bristle full is too dark when we paint the full room, would it look ok if we go over it with 50%?
Any thoughts or recommendations? we are very new to all this!
