Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 May 28, 2011 5:50 pm So, we're wanting to wallpaper our lounge or some of it, we've seen in some display homes that some rooms have the whole room wallpapered, and some only have a wall, I guess it depends on the type of feel they're wanting to create. This is our home plan, and i've marked which room we're wanting to wallpaper, the yellow is where one day we're planning to have a mantle and hopefully a feature gas heater. This is the sort of thing we're looking at, maybe not this particular type but it won't be anything bold Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Opinions appreciated. The whole room will feel really cosy and special. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. If I'd done it in a room, all walls, it would have been great, so def, imo, as many walls as possible!!! good luck mate A thankful person is a happy person. [/color]My hobby design blog: http://aviewondesign.blogspot.com/ Re: Wallpapering, how many walls? 7May 31, 2011 9:05 pm I have that exact wallpaper, on a wall that has a mantle, and a fireplace. I only papered one wall, as it's a fairly small room, and one wall has a very large window. I also wanted to put some prints on the walls, and I'm not a fan of artwork over the top of wallpaper, although it can be done. There is a mirror on the papered wall over the fireplace. So I say either one wall, or all three. Re: Wallpapering, how many walls? 8Jun 01, 2011 1:20 pm I'm a wallpaper convert, did my DD room recently. Only did one wall as wanted to make an impact with Black colour. I love the sample of wallpaper you posted, that would look fantastic. I think I would only do one wall whether it's the wall with the future mantle or one of the side walls, the wall you would see first as you walk past (if you know what I mean). I too loved the display homes with the paper but I did find the rooms with all walls with paper made the rooms look smaller. Anyway here's my first attempt at wallpapering. http://i854.photobucket.com/albums/ab10 ... /photo.jpg Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. I will pay your airfare Are you referring to me Kiwi, if you are I will happily come over and do your hall I even have most of a roll leftover, we had to take a full length but only about 10cm wide piece off a new roll just to finish off the wall, which was a pitta $100 a roll. Which walls would depend where you will be having your furniture. Will you be having a tv in there? If so, then i would leave the wall with the tv without paper and do the other two. I think the wall paper would make your windows seem more like features rather than just windows if that makes any sense. I would also paint the wall without paper a darker colour. Something like the darker late colour of one of the floral patterns on that wallpaper or a chocolate colour.
