We are looking at double roller blinds for our house, are they exy?
Also I've seen this differently. Some have the roll visible from the front so the blind comes down from the back, others have the roll hidden and the blind pulls from the front???

Re: Roller Blinds 2May 16, 2011 9:13 pm Our were pretty reasonable. I'd have to double check the price though. Pics here... http://aaronerinpanorama.blogspot.com/2 ... linds.html the see through blind rolled with the roll not visible to the room, as we had to allow space for the door handles that stuck out. The block out blind rolls with the roll visible, as we wanted it to roll flush with the architrave so light didn't come through the side. hope that makes sense Re: Roller Blinds 3May 16, 2011 9:14 pm I think we have the blinds you mention. We went for a relatively inexpensive fabric for most of them, and our double storey house came in at 3k. Dont know if thats exy or not. Curtains with really nice blinds came in at 10k, we just chose this for now till our bank balance is a bit more healthy. Edited to add: we placed ours on the inside of the architraves. doesnt matter so much for the living areas but for the bedrooms light does come in through the sides. Erin makes a good point there. We are getting the double roller blinds. I think we should get whole house done for about $6000. Very very good prices!! The brand of blinds at Bunnings is Riva. Re: Roller Blinds 7Jun 15, 2011 10:31 pm long time lurker, just new today, so first post and hope it works lol We are moving to Gold Coast QLD from NSW in July, and this new place (4 years old) has curtains in the bedrooms but I would like to add sunscreen blinds or double blinds as well.. I guess that would look ok with curtains? The curtains could help with the problem of the light coming through the edges, or is the modern look to just have double blinds? The 2 bedrooms are on the sunny side, plus our bed will be in front of the window this time, and will feel the hot and cold temps. The curtains are mid brown (and most likely would just be kept open) but hope to use white sunscreen and black blockout blinds or should I go for ivory sunscreen? There are black panel blinds in the living areas and walls painted a creamy colour. Im going to check Bunnings and Spotlight. I heard Bunnings recently has a great sale on them. Re: Roller Blinds 8Jul 03, 2011 10:25 am I also found some other sites that you might be able to get a good price from. If you are Brisbane/Gold Coast based you could try http://www.xsstock.com.au. Another site is http://www.blindsonline.com.au/ and they do custom sizes Check out our renovation in progress at http://www.ourdiydream.com Follow us on facebook http://www.facebook.com/ourdiydream Check out what we are 'pinning' http://pinterest.com/ourdiydream/ waste of time for us having both, living only need one or the other. Bedroom only needs blockouts in our experience. Somfy RTS seems to be the way to go, speak to… 1 4531 |
