Has anyone had a thinner, more silky type material made up into a soft roman blind and had unsightly glue seepage through the fabric from the double sided tape that they apparently use? We were all set to put a deposit down with a curtain maker yesterday who hadn't indicated the fabric we had chosen would be an issue, but someone from a different manufacturer told me they would never use the fabric we have chosen or one similar as a roman blind because this is a known problem.
I emailed the company we had decided on and asked and they told me they had never known it to be an issue and gave me a vague answer about it being "seen to" if it did happen, even though I asked for specifics on any warranty or guarantee against it, if we could get repair, replacement or refunds and if there would be any associated costs and the vague response has me wary.
I won't name the company, because they were highly recommended and have been lovely to deal with and have competitive prices, but I'm worried my blinds will look awful and then I will be stuck with them because it isn't actually covered in any warranty.
The company I spoke to indicated that the seepage could be apparent right away, or it could take as long as six or even twelve months to be noticeable.
Has anyone ever had a problem like this with their roman blinds?
TIA
