Im happy for someone to give me colour suggestions! I want a neautral colour without a pink or yellow undertone. This is my list so far: Pearl Lustre (too yellow?) Airey Cream (too yellow?) Off white Whitewash Taupe grey oak buff white chocolate marble mist And dont even ask me about skirts and doors? Whats the general rule? Hubby wanted darker skirts but ive said no! Haymes Paints - Bams paint thread 2Mar 07, 2011 6:21 am My interior designer's rule was that skirts, doors and architraves all to match the walls unless you want them to be a feature. Of course these are painted in gloss whilst walls are in satin. Good luck with the colour choice. Some things are worth waiting for. I will keep this update as my paint thread I have used Taupe Grey on our walls and Pale Mushroom for architraves, skirting and doors. Check around page 23-28 of my thread. The Pale Mushroom is a nice warm white. A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands. I saw a nice colour in a display today Ill post pics of my sample wall tomorrow, forgot my camera today! Kaytee I have used Taupe Grey on our walls and Pale Mushroom for architraves, skirting and doors. Check around page 23-28 of my thread. The Pale Mushroom is a nice warm white. This is one of two colours I liked today after painting the sample pots. My only concern is whether browns and other earthy colours would go with it? As I find some really nice brown earthy coloured tiles.... ring09 Hi Bam, we had all our walls in Haymes Minimalist, it's quote a nice white - I too didnt want yellow/bluey tones, just a nice white. I'm also planning to use Haynes paints Re: Haymes Paints - Bams paint thread 7May 24, 2011 2:06 pm This thread dies as quick as it started, eh? We chose "Oak Buff" for the wall, "Off White" for the ceiling. "Jamaicain Sea" (or something) is the feature in my little girls room. And then we had them colour match some dulux colours for our other rooms - "Deep Bamboo" for the theatre, and some other colour which escapes my mind for the living feature.... maybe russian toffee? or something? We used dulux seude in our master though Very happy with the Haymes Paints - very good finish and cleans up well (husband leaning everything on the walls ) Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Re: Haymes Paints - Bams paint thread 10May 29, 2011 8:31 pm I can't say I have used Haymes paint so interesting reading of others experiences. I tend to buy all my stuff like that from Bunnings and they don't stock Haymes. I tend to use Dulux 101 and I hear Taubmans endure is good paint. Re: Haymes Paints - Bams paint thread 11May 29, 2011 8:38 pm My walls will be Haymes 'Barley There' which is an subtle off white. An easy color use with any feature colour. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All new built homes look like display homes... until the furniture goes in. Sorry for the late reply, hope the phot are still of some use to you Wall are "Oak Buff" and ceilings are "Off white". Oak buff is a lovely colour, sometimes it looks beige-y but its actually got a grey undertone which comes out when there is little direct light. Im going to put up a heap of photos so you can see what I mean.. Re: Haymes Paints - Bams paint thread 16Jul 07, 2012 11:42 pm Last week little had happened except the painting, the colour looks different to what I expected. This week there seems to be more coats of paint added and the doors have been painted. The walls are oak buff and the skirting is double-strength gloss of the oak buff. Love them! And furnishing make a huge difference. We went one and half for our skirting and doors I re-visited the house recently, I don't have photos but the colour of the walls has lightened a little. Perhaps the paint was still fresh when I visited, it did smell of paint The yellowing mainly occurs to white or very light colours. 1 2950 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle. We're planning our garage/external laundry to master bedroom and… 0 11121 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7171 |
