Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Nov 28, 2010 9:03 am I'm sure this topic has probably been discussed before, but a quick search of the forum and I couldn't find anything. What order should the tiling, carpet and painting be done in? Should skirtings be installed before or after tiling/carpet? Thanks guys! Also the carpet can be cut to size better since it needs to but up against the tiles. so carpet next. then some paint touch ups from where the wall got scratched during installation of the flooring. and skirting goes on last, since it has to sit on top of the floor covering. it can be done in other orders, its just a bit more of a pain to do it. I already have the doors and architraves installed as pictured. My question is which size n type of skirting would go with the architraves?
