Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Nov 22, 2010 1:30 pm Hi everyone, They have just finished painting our front feature colour, and I'm a bit disappointed. The chart we picked the colour off looked nothing like what we ended up with, or at least it didn't on the day! I verified on the paint tin that it was indeed the correct colour, so the builder is not at fault. I was hoping to get a darker-deep red rather than the almost terracotta type we have now. Can anyone offer their opinions? I have uploaded what it looks like now along with a couple of photoshops of darker reds. Original (now): http://img822.imageshack.us/i/originalk.png/ Dark red: http://img404.imageshack.us/i/darkred.png/ Darker red: http://img3.imageshack.us/i/darkerred.png/ Also up for any suggestions on another colour, the house has a windsprey roof and grey sorbetto bricks from PGH. The original colour on the facade at the moment is Taubmans 'Roasted'. Re: Front facade colour? 6Nov 23, 2010 3:52 pm Loft looks good, just concerned about the entire house being a grey type colour. McDonald Jones had a nice red feature in the façade brochure where I got (stole?) the idea from. I never really considered any other colour. A few people I have spoken to seem to like the darker red, but I guess it might not match everyone's tastes. Either way I will sleep on it, I have to keep the current colour until we get our house certified by our 'estate council'.
