Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Oct 11, 2010 9:11 pm Hi everyone I am new to the forum so hello. We are 6 weeks away from our new home being completed (yippee) a project that has taken over 1.5 years . I have been searching HIGH and LOW for a company that can make or has ready made bay window curtain rods or rails. I would ideally like a double rod so that I can have a sheer curtain and normal curtain as our main bedroom faces the road. We have been to Bunnings & Ikea and I have googled everything here in Aus not with much luck - if I lived in the US or the UK one would be in the post already LOL. So if anyone has a bay window and has a rail or rod please could you let me know where you got it made or where you bought it. I am in Adelaide. Thanks so very much. Re: Bay Window Curtain Double Rods or Rails 2Oct 11, 2010 9:22 pm We have a bay window and we got a curtain rail custom made, was not that dear. We got ours made by Barratts Blinds but I think they are only a local company - they have done custom made curtains and blinds for us too. Our rail is only a single as we only have one sheer curtain but Im sure a double rail could easily be made too. I would of thought that any company that measures and custom makes curtains/blinds/shutters would do this I am saying that double brick has similar thermal performance due to thermal mass effect. It will be still very interesting to see the state of your framing after 10-15… 10 29659 I’m in a similar position except I’m after sliding 3 stacking doors. I am on a second-story apartment of which the balcony would not adequately fit any bi-fold or… 5 16077 Current door width is approx 2700, looking to have double doors fitted 820-820. What size does the frame need to be before door jamb? Thanks 0 3525 |
