I'll have to look up your render colours, but all-in-all the rest sounds delightful. Looking forward to watching your build! AV. Struggling with facade colors! 3Sep 21, 2010 9:14 am Thanks am a bit worried about haveing different colored guttering to the roof but i think it will be ok. I actually * a bit cause we got an idea for the color scheme off one of the plans of the house with all the different facade options on it . What house are you building? Re: Help! Struggling with facade colors! 5Sep 21, 2010 10:52 am Generally the rules of 'Good Practice" are: * Try to blend your gutters with your roof. Slightly darker is OK if you can't match exactly. This extends the appearance of your roofline and makes the house more striking. * Try to blend your facia with your walls. This extends the visual height of the walls and makes the house look larger. If you can't find a match, you can also match with the roof colour. This will keep them well blended and will look nice. * Try to blend your downpipes and electical box, etc with your walls. You don't want them standing out. Blend them in as close as you can. They are not features. * Try to compliment, not contrast with the Garage door. It's not a feature, so avoid colours that make it dramatically different to the rest of the house. A slight change from your brick is OK to differentiate it, but avoid stark contrasts. Thats the color I am going for which has kinda lightish greyish finish..guess will look good with your combo.. I did my colors and Clarendon is still cheking whether thats standard although my colors ldy believes its standard.. Cheers Re: Help! Struggling with facade colors! 7Sep 22, 2010 8:07 pm Thanks for all that help i think we might look at doing the roof, gutters and fascia all in shale grey then. As in not contrasting the garage door do you think a timber look door with a front door the same wont be blend in? Im just doont want it all to look to grey... Re: Help!
