I can't comment on your colours as I'm unfamiliar with Dulux Stepney, but can you get some samples and paint colour boards? A sample painted board can be moved easily and you will see the effects of light and surrounds on your colours. Colour will definitely transform it. Why are you reroofing? People make one happy, not houses? I do not think so. Houses are more to be trusted than people. The boards are a good idea I've painted a a few in the colours of my many sample pots but still can't make a decision. Am now looking at dulux silver grey 200% or porters old stone wall for our wall colour, opinions are much appreciated. Thanks, Claire Re: Thought on exterior colour scheme?? 6Sep 17, 2010 4:14 pm I think the old stone wall would look fabulous with the natural white. A strong contrast and very sophisticated colours. How do they match up with the colourbond samples? My only concern is that your windows have a small frame and are deep set per the style of your home. Are the windows original? It's hard to tell from the picture. Not having the entry door in the front, combined with the pitch of your roof and the deepset windows, it may be a lot of unbroken grey iykwim. I would fix that with your plantings though once you move onto the garden as I love the grey and white look too much to worry about it. I love your colours. People make one happy, not houses?
