We just got our facade drawings yesterday so I thought I would open them up for ideas. I couldn't fit the whole thing on my scanner so its a little cut off! http://img839.imageshack.us/i/facaden.jpg/ We are thinking about a light brick like Austral Linseed and a dark roof like Ironstone or Woodland Grey however am open to other ideas as I don't have a creative bone in my body! Nathan I would be particularly interested to hear your ideas. To put in in perspective we have 2.5 acre block near Geelong, Victoria. Thanks Re: The Facade Thread!!! 65May 06, 2011 1:51 pm chameel Hi Everyone Have really enjoyed seeking inspiration from this thread! Que One Homes, a relatively small builder in Western Suburbs of Melb. We chose them because the style seemed quite unique and because of the flexibility of allowing virtually unlimited design changes as the house evolved... So far, couldn't be more impressed. Ours will have white side walls and the house will actually sit on the ground with the facade raised slightly to give the same effect. http://www.ixtro.com/4102/buoyant-beach ... r-artadi-1 This one shows it from a different angle: http://www.homeinteriorsite.com/2011/02 ... nas-beach/ This one is from the RHS: http://www.kudika.ro/articol/condo~arhi ... rtadi.html This is just some more of Artadi's work: http://www.blueverticalstudio.com/?p=11955 Pretty unusual design, but I think it will work well with what we are trying to achieve. Re: The Facade Thread!!! 76Jun 10, 2011 2:29 pm Im so green with envy guys!!!!! We went with the basic facade with our home as we are pretty handy and thought that we could save money and render etc ourselves after handover. BUT now I just dont know what to do. An idea is to render the noughat (cream feature) bricks in CB Dune colour(same colour as the cement sheet) and then where the cement sheets are, to use Merbau timber cladding stained in a dark Jarrah colour. And then render the brown bricks CB Monument. Current facade specs. Main bricks - Austral Homestead Tan 'Feature' brick - Austral Noughat Cement sheets - CB Dune Front door, garage door, eave gutters etc - CB Monument Our facade...... http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/our%20forrester%20home/dbf51f2f.jpg Cladding in mind Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Overall simular style and colour look.
