Hi Nathan, we were told that we should have been able to do colour selections last weekend but are still waiting to hear from the colour consultant So not sure when, possibly this weekend. Probably a good thing as we still haven't decided what to do... After looking at some houses with sambucca roof tiles I have realised it is WAY too dark. I am now thinking about Mocha Choc with Jasper gutters and facia, only thing is when I put my samples together (roof tile and brick) they are almost the same colour! Will it look too bland? Will the contrast brick piers and timber garage door be enough to break it up?? As for the panneling, what colour should it be if they wont do timber? And what colour behind it (I assume it's a painted)? Having soooo much trouble trying to visualise it Thanks in advance Re: The Facade Thread!!! 45Sep 15, 2010 8:38 pm Sorry Selina must have missed your post. You have probably done you selection by now. What did you end up choosing? Great thread. DH would like to add some stacker stone, timber or tiled feature to our facade, however I am not quite sure. I would love your opinions to help us make a decision Our bricks are Mild steel: http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad266/homesweethome1/MildSteel_detail.jpg Windows/gutters/fascia/roof is Woodland Grey: http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad266/homesweethome1/woodlandgrey.jpg Moroka colour is Mossy bark (not the best pic sorry): http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad266/homesweethome1/House%20plans/moroka.jpg Here are pics of our front facade. The commons are the areas of the facade to be bagged: http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad266/homesweethome1/DSC05440.jpg Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We are thinking of making this wall a feature: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ DH's ideas include timber decking or tiling the porch floor and continuing decking/tiling up the full length of this wall. Or just doing a feature wall of stone cladding/stacker stone. Our facade is very plain, so I think it might be ok to add a feature. Plus we are not overly happy with the brick work to this wall, and would love to disguise it in some way. However, the wall is between the moroka finish and the brick finish and I don't know if it would end up looking too busy? Some advice/ideas would be much appreciated Re: The Facade Thread!!! 49Dec 10, 2010 4:37 pm Hi Everyone Not sure if you have seen this site or not, but is fantastic not only for helping with facades, but also kitchens and bathrooms. I have been able to pick roughly my styles, and then select my colours etc. Sometimes i have had to improvise a little, and in the case of bricks, pick something that is pretty close, but..... its helped me heaps . http://www.studiom.com.au/envisage cheers Re: The Facade Thread!!! 50Dec 10, 2010 5:05 pm we have no choice with our facade.
