Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 May 17, 2010 11:35 pm We've just purchased New England Oak floor boards for our house extension. I love the colour of the boards - cream and brown with a pink tinge but I've really only just thought about the fact that the pink will make it more difficult to choose feature colours for our family roon and bedroom. The walls will be predominantly white but I'd like one feature colour for each room. Green would work well but we already have that in our lounge room - any ideas? We have Tas Oak (pretend) floorboards and I barely gave it a thought when selecting colours. We've gone for dark beige walls, white trims, chocolate cabinets and teal, turquoise and greens for our features. The colour of the floor changes depending on what's around it and also on the time of day and type of lighting. I'm still working on furniture and accessories, but will feature creams and natural tones with green and turquoise accents... of course, that might be a loooong project, the way the budget's going.
