We've used suede effects before, and as you said, found touch ups were a little complicated, because of all the different brushstrokes With the sandswept, the color seems 'flatter', but it's more the 'rough' texture that appeals to us - do you think it would still be a problem to touch up? It would be going in a family room, meals area and entry. Good to have you back! Eimaj Re: Dulux Sandswept paint 4Sep 03, 2007 2:32 pm Do you have children??
If so what age? Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Dulux Sandswept paint 6Sep 03, 2007 7:33 pm eimaj, the sand effect is a good look, I put it in one of my friends place years ago using Porter Paints.
Because the product was only new the painter applied it the wrong way and lost all the effect it was suppose to have, (Crows Foot”) unless you touch the wall, then you know its gritty……anyway……. I guess what you have to watch for is the running of hands along the wall, or the need to WASH OFF the running of hands along the wall! Then you start to rub off the sand in the paint. This type of paint work can’t be easily cleaned like a nice semi gloss or Satin. Nice affect, up to as to weather you can keep it clean without the need to wash the walls, but unfortunately occasionally we have to. To repaint this type of wall would require a heavy sanding first to take out all the grit…..just thought I would mention that. But hey….if you like it, do it, worry about all the other stuff later!! Does that mean you can get Sandswept in just about any color? Most of the dulux sandswept were quite light shades, but we were thinking of a sage-type green
Thanks again Eimaj Re: Dulux Sandswept paint 8Sep 04, 2007 12:18 pm Ports have LOTS of colours!!!
