Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Feb 11, 2010 5:14 pm Hey there, I think this is the right forum. Looking at doing some renovations on a unit i recently purchased. Works will include new kitchen, electrical, bamboo flooring etc. The question I ask is; Should I paint before the floors and skirting, so as to save time and hassle in not worrying about drips and drop sheets etc ? OR Should I paint after the floorboards becuase its likely the dust created from cutting the floorboards and skirting will be to much and dirty the fresh painted walls ? An option i was thinking was paint before the floorboards are put in and have him do all his sawing in one room so as to minimise the dust being carried around the unit. Am going to being using an oil based paint if thats relevant. Thanks! Re: Which order ? 2Feb 12, 2010 8:28 pm Personally, I would paint last after everything else is done.
